| FYI- Below is an update on Mikey (HEADS name
Michaelangelo). I fostered her and her siblings when they were 4-8 weeks old. It is these wonderful success stories that make all the animal rescue headaches worth it. Annette

Hello, my name is Diane Waske and I adopted Hobbes. I went to Pet Smart on Wednesday December 1, 2004 looking at aquariums, and decided to go see the animals in the adoption center, (never intending to get an animal) and saw Hobbes. He touched my heart the first time I laid eyes on him. I thought about him all that night and all day on Thursday. I just couldnt understand how someone could just give up a 7yr old cat. So I went back on Thursday December 2,2004 and had to get him, I wanted him to have the best of the years he has left. Carrie was my adoption agent and she was fabulous. I wanted to let you know how happy he is. He will have a very happy and loving home with my 10-year-old cat and me. I call him Mr. Hobbes. He is a very loving and vocal cat. I have had him a week and I cannot express enough how happy Mr. Hobbes and I are. In the past week, he has already brought great joy to my family and me and I look forward to spending many years with him. I would like to wish you a Happy Holiday season filled with Love and Joy. Warmest regards, Diane Waske & Mr. Hobbes Mama Cat and her daughter Lenox were adopted together! After spending almost four months in cages at Pet Smart, HEADS volunteers decided to foster them to give them a break from being in the cages. The cats endeared themselves so much to the foster family that they kept them in their immediate family. Both cats were exceptionally well behaved, having in mind that they were not showing well at the adoption fairs. All they needed was a little time to warm up to people, and now they are happy cats running all over the house and doing what they like the most: watching the birds. Char and Naim |

doing great and are super cats. They are loving and very playful, especially with
each other. Renee Ricken

| Winnie, Kyle Stack's 125 lb. Rottweiler / Lab Mix, was adopted as an 8-week old puppy. What is remarkable is that this puppy was thrown over the 6-foot high fence at the Trenton/Woodhaven Animal Shelter and left. The puppy survived the fall. The Animal Control Officer brought the frightened bearish looking puppy to Kyle and asked her if she would be interested in the puppy. She said yes, and this began her involvement in trying to improve conditions around the Trenton/Woodhaven Animal Shelter. It also began the attachment between owner and pet. Winnie has grown into a full, obedient dog, with a streak of fun and a load of love - Bill | |
