Sheba

5/13/06 - Sheba is currently at McLaughlin Veterinary Hospital in Brownstown.  We called them this
morning  at 9am to ask how she was doing.  The vet tech said that she is doing
good, eager to get out of the cage and greet her visitors.  As most of you know she was
beaten over the head and was rescued by a nice lady who wishes to remain anonymous.
She was taken to the vet where she had to have a drain placed in her head and also got quite
a few stitches.  I don't have all the details myself but as I learn more I will update this page.
Below are a few pictures.  She won't be available for adoption for a while but she looks like
she would make someone a nice pet.  Sorry some of the pictures are quite graphic.

5/15/06 - Sheba was first taken to Southgate Animal Hospital where they took excellent care
of Sheba's injuries and started her on the road to recovery.   She was brought there by the lady
that rescued her and her puppies.  We have received donations from Michigan, Colorado,
Los Angeles, and France.  Pet lovers are everywhere!

5/19/06 - Sheba is doing fine but does not like being in the cage at the vet.  Would anyone like
to foster her?  I understand that she doesn't get along well with other dogs.  As of Thursday
all of her puppies have been adopted.  Thanks you everyone for being so generous with the
donations for her care.

8/20/06 - Sheba is available for adoption.  She has recovered well from her injuries.  You may be
able to see her at Petsmart sometime in the near future on a Saturday.  Below is the most
recent picture that I have of her.

10/17/06  Sheba is still available for adoption and is currently working with a trainer to improve
her people skills.  The trainer may even be willing to continue the lessons after she is adopted.  See
one of the volunteers at Petsmart or email us for more details about adopting Sheba.
